Unleash the raw power and classic charm of the 1966 Pontiac GTO right on your track with the Carrera Pontiac GTO 1966 Streetcar. This remarkable slot car perfectly captures the essence of a bygone era, bringing a slice of Americana into your living room. With its high-detail design, this model is a feast for the eyes, showcasing every iconic curve and line that made the original GTO a legend. Equipped with Magnatraction, this car offers superior grip and stability, ensuring thrilling races with every lap. Designed for analogue systems, this Carrera Evolution release is a must-have for both collectors and racing enthusiasts alike.

The 1966 Pontiac GTO is one of the most iconic muscle cars in American automotive history, and the factory-oriented green color from that year is officially called Palmetto Green (lacquer code H). This is a stylish, light metallic green-blue shade that was very popular at the time and was often combined with a black vinyl roof or an interior in contrasting white (Parchment).

Features of the '66 GTO:

Engine options: The car came standard with the legendary 389 cubic inch (6.5 liter) V8 engine, good for 335 hp. For those who wanted more power, there was the famous Tri-Power option (three double carburetors) that increased the power to 360 hp.

Design: 1966 was the first year that the GTO became a standalone model within Pontiac (instead of an option package for the LeMans/Tempest). The model introduced the iconic "Coke-bottle" styling with wavy lines and the unique, grilled-integrated taillights.

Rarity: In addition to Palmetto Green, you sometimes come across rarer factory colors like Linden Green, or deeper custom variants like Forest Green.
